Members of the University of Auckland Society and their guests enjoyed a wonderful day out at Goldie Vineyard on Sunday 3 April. The day began with a lively and informative tour of the winery by resident winemaker Heinrich Storm, and included a spot of wine tasting, where members were able to sample some of Goldie’s iconic wines. Members also enjoyed hearing from Wine Science student, Victoria Knotts, who spoke about what life is like on the vineyard. The incredibly talented Shauno Isomura from the University of Auckland’s School of Music performed for our guests after a delicious vineyard lunch. It was a magical day, and best of all, the weather played ball! The University of Auckland Society is an organisation that helps alumni and friends stay connected with each other and the University.
